    What if you threw a party and nobody came?

    E-marketing can feel a little like that sometimes — but it doesn’t have to. Your online presence (Facebook business page, Twitter account, website, blog and so forth) is your party — your friends, followers and fans are your guests.

    How do you get your guests to your party? You invite them, of course. If you don’t ask people to like, fan, follow, read or subscribe to you, there’s a very good chance they won’t.

    • “like” your page on Facebook
    • “follow” you on Twitter
    • become part of your network on LinkedIn
    • subscribe to your RSS feed
